they are out of the country using a goole voice # - they are callingme because i bought domains on go daddy and did not block my privacy at first. 13 calls just today.
Person with East Indain accent - from Technical Dept (lol) regarding a problem with my computer(BS)
Told him to [***] OFF and hung up. SCAMMER "The number you have dialed is not in service" so the number is spoofed.
Caller ID said the call was from MacLellan P. He said he was John, calling about problems with my computer. I told him if I had a computer problem that I would call in, myself, and I didn't need his help. I hung up and blocked the number. These calls are getting to be VERY annoying!!!
Scam, scam, scam.
Yup, it's the old "I'm from Windows technical support and your computer is send us error messages." It is going to kill you and your family if you don't do exactly as I tell you..., blah, blah, blah from some Indian dude that I almost can't understand scam.
I hate that they call me at all, but once I got them on the line I love playing with them for a bit.
Me: Ok, my computer is sending you these messages RIGHT NOW?
Indian dude: Yes, right now.
Me: What version of Windows?
Indian dude: Huh?
Me: What version of Windows?
Indian dude: Why?
Me: Well, I have several different computers running and they are running different versions of Windows. So, I need to know which version your are getting errors from so that I know which computer it is.
At this point I get one of two reposes

Indian dude: All of them.
If this is the answer I get, I tell him that actually the only computer I have on right now is running Linux so I know he's lying, I know he's scamming me and I hope that his children get bitten my a cobra snake.
Or #2, they will tell me whatever is the lastest version of Windows
Indian dude: Windows 10 (or Windows 8)
If he gives me this answer, I tell him that I don't have a computer with that version of Windows ANNNND, that I know know he's lying, I know he's scamming me and I hope that his children get bitten my a cobra snake.
...or a couple of various other scenarios where I keep them on the phone for a while with the phone just sitting and I go about whatever I was doing.
