Just got a call from this number saying I won some contest to go to the Marriot. I said I didn't know what that was because I couldn't understand him due to his thick accent. He then went on to say "It's a 5 star hotel ma'am, do you recall filling out this application?" when I said no he then went on to say that I probably just didn't remember... After he finished his spiel and I clearly knew it was a scam I said "yeah no thank you I'm not interested." he immediately hung up. tried to call back multiple times and its always a busy line... After about 5 minutes I got another call from 253-224-7165 and I decided to drill into the guy asking him what kind of scam he is running and he started yelling at me and informing me he was just doing his job. I said "Your job is to scam people? wow what a life dude." I then explained to him that I was reading this page that clearly shows that they are a scam. He then began cussing me out and after that he began to say "You're making me [***] baby I'm right outside your house and can tell by the tone of your voice that you want me..." I then hung up... What in the world...
Rec'd call today, man w/strong accent told me I filled out an application a few weeks ago and that I had won a free vacation. I did not fill out any application. Told him I wasn't interested and hung up!
Woman with a very heavy thick accent called from this # saying. I think she said she was calling from the welcome center (?). I told her she was calling my cell phone and I was going to report her. She started in on her spiel but I couldn't really understand her. I hung up.
Forgot to add I'm pretty sure this is probably a scam of some sort. Bad enough that we get all the crap calls on our home phone but now on our cell phones? I've called the number back several times and get a busy signal. Who has a busy signal these days?? NOBODY legitimate.
