800Notes, you need to UPGRADE your software! While this AREA CODE might be in Texas, THIS IS AN INVALID NUMBER as indicated by it have a "0" as the first number in the exchange (second set of three numbers.) THIS IS MOST LIKELY A SPOOFED NUMBER.
TWO calls from this number came in on my landline at 1:21 and 1:22 EST. NO NAME on Caller ID: just this WEIRD number.
Normally, when I see a number like this, I pick up/hang up to break the call and keep it from going to the answering machine which will verify to the SPAMMERS (live or computer) that they have reached a working number. BUT, I was expecting an important call, and even though I doubted it was valid, I let this call go the the machine - TWICE. The FIRST time, I heard a woman's voice say, "Oh, crap" before hanging up. BUT THEN she/it CALLED RIGHT BACK. No response the second time.
Wonder WHO was trying to STEAL from me THIS time, and under WHAT RUSE.

800notes has nothing to do with you getting a call. Look around. This is a public forum to post, & share, comments about phone calls. That's it. No software to upgrade.
I agree this number is not NANP-compliant. That doesn't quite invalidate the default behavior of this site to connect a place name with an area code. After all, ANY phone number can be spoofed, valid or not. Any information you read here has to be seen as intelligence, in the sense that it cannot confirm itself to be true but does add to our understanding of a given nuisance caller.
If you have *constructive* criticism of the way things are done here, you might try writing to Admin rather than make off-topic impotent rants in a number thread.
