This seems like the same people who keeps calling us. My husband is not tech savvy and was taken for 300.00 by these same guy or someone similar a few months ago. He also allowed them access to our computer to supposedly fix problems we was having. They stated they were vendors of Microsoft and we had viruses and that our computer was about to crash at any time now. As of today, they called stating the company was going out of business and they wanted to remove the program from our computer and refund 80% of the initial payment. This sounded very unusual so I told him to call back tomorrow whereas this would give me time to research the company. After reading the previous posts he will not get a second chance at our computer and we'll just take the loss.
I have received alot of calls from person with India accent saying they were with Microsoft Window and said had numerous mistakes on pc. I told him already had a India company as pro tection and they stated not in India but in California. I had contacted my virus protecftion previously and they it was a scam if said was from Windows and Microsolft didn't call customers. This time about a hour ago they called again and I asked for their p;hone number and they gave me 254-232-4302.
Isn't there anything can be done to stop; these harrassing phone call scam..
Same phone #, same speel about crashing computer,also Iindia accent, says name Alex Hudson. Told them I do not talk to anyone calling me or touching my computer without me initiating call. This company says they have been calling for 2 weeks and I did't answer phone. Says I paid the $194 in June 2012. I called 2 main credit cards I would have used and they could find nothing in June or July, 2012 thet even came close to this amount or 24/7 or Microsoft # or name on my accounts. They have called me many times in the past and I will not call them back
