Cell phone ID displayed an incoming call from Texas on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't recognize the number (254-433-4951) so I ignored the call. They didn't leave a message. I Googled the phone number and I see they are also calling others similarly. Shortly thereafter, another call came in on my house phone, ID showed Private caller. Get a real job, losers.
They called around 11:30am. We work from home with our business, so I answered it thinking it was a client. Got an automated message that I'll paraphrase here:
"We're calling regarding your credit account. You may be overpaying in interest and we can adjust that for you if you get in contact with us. There's nothing wrong with your account, but this is your final chance to lower your interest rates. Press 1 to speak with someone now."
I pressed 1, because it sounded like a telemarketer and we're on the DNC registry. Spoke with a lady who had a heavy accent and there was a lot of background noise. She said she was with card services, so I asked which card. She said Chase, Bank of America, Visa... I asked if her company was a third party service and she hung up on me. End of story.
