Its a probable scam. Why would Mercedez waste so much money giving away free cars to people that have never entered a draw before? Think logically for a minute. If you have won something from say.... The Oprah show, Oprah and her team wouldnt ask you to pay for the shipping costs, they would ship it directly to you free of charge because you have won it.
They ask for the $500 and you never get the car. Thats how the scam works. If they sms and call 100 people a day, times $500 by 100? Thats alot of money. And so many people fall for the same trap and fall victim to these idiots. Mercedez has the money to ship anything to any country internationally. Why would they ask you to pay money for what is rightfully yours if you have won it? And secondly, you never entered any draw. So how could they have drawn your number? It's illegal to ask network providers for mobile or landline numbers unless its for legal purposes, and authorized by the law. I got the same text message. It's a probable scam.
