just got a call from this number 256-237-1553. answered the call but caller hung up. we use att uverse. i wonder if this number is a known number to be abused, and if caller isn't spoofing this number, while dialing from another number.
the caller called asking for my 84 yr old mother. My son asked who it was and they said he worked with my mom. She hasn't worked, always a home maker. I think this is a scammer working on elderly people.
CALLER SAID HE WAS THE POLICE AND NEEDED TO SPEAK TO ME AND WOULD NOT LEAVE NUMBER AND CALLS BACK AND HANGS UP 1 TIME A NIGHT.HE ALSO LEAD MY WIFE IN TO THINKING I WAS IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW.WHEN I CALLED BACK IT SAID VOICE MAIL BOX WAS FULL.
I get a call every day from this number, but I never answer and nobody leaves a message. I did a search, but cannot find out who it is without paying Intelius,however, they do list this information:
