I talked to two ladies on the phone the first person was named Nora. the second one never gave me any other title besides Nora's boss. The first one told me that she was calling about magazine services. she wanted to know if i was pleased with the magazine i had purchased. i have never ordered a magazine subscription in my life, so I had the feeling that this was not real. Then she told me that they had decided to reward me with 4 new magazine subscriptions for a monthly payment of $19.16. She told that her boss wanted to speak with me to see if she (Nora) was polite. So I did. The boss wanted to get more information from me. The uncomfortable thing about it was that she new my name, my postal address, and which bank I use. She wanted to confirm my credit card number. I wrote down a wrong number so I could remember it and read it to her several times just to see what would happen. She kept telling me that I was reading her the wrong number and that I needed to tell her what was really on my card. I kept telling her the fake number. She finally got mad at me and swore at me. I said "excuse me" and she hung up.
This is a recorded message "we are calling on behalf of magazine services, this is just a courtesy call we will try our call again later" then they disconnect.
if you answer they try to get all kinds of information from you. its basically a scam. they are very nice at first. the offer to give you two magazine subscriptions for free. they ask you to confirm the number on your credit/debit card. but the thing is if you needed it confirmed they would read it off to you, not ask you to read it to them. (any legal company anyways.) i purposely fed the lady an invalid number several times after her asking me only to have her get mad, cuss at me, and hang up. my point it, dont even answer. and if you do answer, call them out.
