Text message in broken English from a phone number registered in Alabama: "Hello, I will like to know if you offer taxi service for vacation. Thanks." I get these type of messages a few times a year, usually someone looking for "limo rides" for a local relative but they want to pay remotely. It's some type of scam, not sure which one, but I never let it go far enough to find out. I just asked them where they are from, now that they are "coming down to visit" and they "need a driver who knows the route well enough." They just told me they are from Texas, even with the Alabama area code. What a bunch of dummies.
