This was a scammer telling me I had won some gift cards including one from Wal-Mart. I really couldn't make out a lot of what she was saying between her foreign accent and the cutting out like she was on a cell phone with bad reception. I let her go through her routine and then she told me there was a shipping charge of three dollars and some change. She asked for my name and address and I gave her the made up name 'John Green' and a phony address. She asked if I would like to use a debit or credit card. I told her I had neither a debit or credit card and that I didn't even have a bank account. She asked again twice, debit or credit, to which I responded that I didn't have either and that I was a cocaine dealer and avoiding taxes from the government lol. She informed me that only a debit or credit card would suffice. I offered to send her cash or that maybe she could send it COD. Again she told me only debit or credit cards would work and to have a nice day. I tried to waste as much of her time as possible. I told her I wanted my free prizes and that I would send her cash and even throw in an extra five dollars for her trouble. After tying her up for about five minutes she finally hung up on me. Then I added the number to my auto reject list.
I received a call today. I got this number yesterday, and have only used it to talk to 3 people. I missed the call, but thought it was odd that someone I didn't know called me, so I googled the area code, and it was from Alabama. Then, I googled the full number, to see if it was a telemarketer or business, and I found this page. I'm very confused about what to think right now.
I don't know anyone in Alabama and didn't answer the call. they didn't leave a message and given the reports above, I'd say it was a suspect call. Blocked.
