I've just answered a called that was from my own land line! A thickly accented fast talking man was going to lower my interest rate on a credit card because of my excellent credit. He asked what card I wanted lowered, I mentioned one and he knew the first 4 digits.He asked for the rest of numbers, I said no, He replied he already knew them, so I tell him to read them back to me and I will tell him if this is correct. He said he understood my concerns.He repeated he already knew my number and my balance, all my acct, information.So, since I didn't feel comfortable about giving him my card No. He asked for last 4 numbers of my S.S. zip code and just the last 4 No. of my card, and exp. date.. He put me on hold, came back and said the information I gave him  wasn't correct, I repeated my zip and last 4 of SS. He asked again for the middle no. of my card, I refused and asked him to read them to me and I'll tell him if it was correct. It got strange fast-He wants to make sure I understand he already has my information and will even tell me my balance, last payment, ect...I told him I knew my bal. last payment also. He was getting irate- I asked him how my caller ID had my own no.-he gave an explaination-too fast to understand. I asked him his name, after 3 times he replied Kenneth Joseph, I asked for his phone number, he refused. I told him I would call him back, talk to him or another person. He said he could not understand what I didn't understand about this. I told him if he wanted my business, give me his phone no, He said he didn't want my business-and hung upon me! I done star 69 got the no. and called, but, surprise,, NO answer! Can anyone else relate??? I'm in N.E. Alabama
