It is some sort of sweepstakes, apparently our numbers are given out from the major credit card companies... They verify your name and put you in a sweepstakes. No personal info is really taken. Super weird.
I keep getting calls from this number too, but I usually don't answer. They never leave a message. This is my cell phone - my credit card cos do not have my cell phone number. Weird. Finally answered today, and there wasn't even anyone on the line. I'm blocking the number.
I just received a call from this number as well. They are survey callers from sweepstakes sponsored by Visa/MC/Discover/AMEX... Something about winning a new car/25,000 dollars/vacation... I dunno. Doesn't seem legit to me. They are supposedly calling out of a call center in VA Beach, VA.
