Yes, this is a mystery shopper scam. Sent me a $2,000 cashiers check in the mail and scammer keeps emailing and calling me to deposit the check and do fake assignment. I just ignore the emails and calls. Reported it to the credit union listed on the check. This guy knows how to hide his tracks well. Wish I could find out what his real name is.
This is a Secret Shopper scam. They send you a check for $1300.00 with a list of instructions. They want you to deposit the check into your bank, keep a small portion for a shopping assignment, go to Western Union and send the rest of the money to a person on the instruction list.
I looked up the person on the list and he has a criminal background and a different address than the mailing address on the instruction list.
If you cash that check, you will get a notification from the bank within a few days that the check was bad and the bank will take the money out of your account. You will be involved in a crime.
