Received 3 calls from this number. Third call left a VM, which sounded like a recording, indicating that action will be taken against me by the IRS if I don't return the call. I laughed, since, as a retired CPA, I know that the IRS only makes first contact via mail. They are not permitted to call. I returned the call. There was a ton of traffic noise in the background, as though the guy that answered was walking outside along a really busy street. The guy had a really thick accent & said that he was officer # ####### and that he was with the IRS and that I needed to give him my name so that he could research my case before he could help me. Yeah, OK. He's going to look up my file while he's walking to lunch....as if the IRS has the funding and the advance tech know-how to build apps that allow file searches on a smart phone. Right. LMAO! I asked him for his name instead, since it is a federal crime to impersonate an IRS agent. He promptly hung up.

My daughter was driving when she got the call and she pulled over because he scared the crap out of her :( My husband and I both told her its a scam as the IRS never call, and I got a call today I can't write what I said to him lol!
Received a message on my voice mail stating that I should return the call or legal action would be taken against me. I called and a man with a very thick accent answered. Man said he was an officer of the IRS, but the number came from Fort Wayne, IN. I know that if you have issues with the IRS, they write, they do not call because my wife and son both worked for the IRS and we have been audited. After I challenged his, he said I could disregard the call.
Received a computer-voice ( text-to-voice) voice mail with some gibberish about my going to be taken into custody by the 'local authorities'. Right. Could barely make any of it out. We have no issues with the IRS or anyone else- this is a total f'ing scam. If I figure out who these [***] are I WILL show up at their homes with a baseball bat - so I hope they're monitoring this. Sleep with one eye open scamming scumbags- you're in for a big surprise.
You'd have a hard time doing that. The callers are located in India and Pakistan. Over a billion people in that area of the world. Call blocker'd make more sense.
