I have been getting calls from this number for weeks...I have answered several times now asking for someone else...I have owned this number for several years now...I can't get them to stop calling. Claimed he was from "Stellar Recovery" would not state who his client was he was calling on behalf of.
This is a scam. They tried to call me about my collections from Comcast (which I had for 3 weeks) not even 2 months after I cancelled my service, for which I have an invoice for $0 (from Comcast, and I would know as my job deals with Comcast every single day and know what their invoices look like). They ask for credit card information for which they will scam even more. If you are going to try and scam someone at least get the information correct. Such as saying I owe $64.97 when my original bill is over $100, right away I knew this was false on that alone, why would Comcast try to "collect" on partial bill if I did in fact have an open balance with them, even though I know I don't. Nice try buddy. He will argue and say why would Comcast send me to a collection agency if I didn't owe money, I told him I would go to Comcast myself and deal with it, and he got real defensive. When I asked for his name and company he "couldn't disclose either"
Since we started new phone service with Comcast we get 2-3 calls daily from this number. No message is ever left but when we pick up the phone a computer states that it is looking for a name other than ours. We follow the prompts to log that the person they're looking for is not at this number but it seems to not take. We just called the number back and threatened to take action if they did not remove our number from their call list. We'll see!!
