They're a computer security scam group, they want remote access to your computer to "fix the errors and viruses" that are showing up on "their screens" coming from your computer. They only identify themselves as tech support and not their company or anything else, then try to scare the user by having them look at their "event viewer" which unless your computer just got unpacked from the box, will always show errors. Then they want you to allow them remote access by having you download Team Viewer onto your system, but before they will fix your computer, they direct the system to PayPal so you can fork over your 300 bucks. If you balk at this at any time after the Team Viewer is downloaded onto your system, they ( according to others ) will begin to mess up your machine by deleting personal files,pics,ethernet connections, etc.
I've gotten a call from them three times a week for the past two weeks. Finally I lied and told them that I had used the time between calls to do a trace on them and their scam and was activating a trace back right now. They are very rude, very persistent and I hope that no one gets taken in by them.
