I got the same thing on my cell phone: just a call but no one answered when I picked up.
When I called the number back I got connected to an overseas boiler-room operation (very accented English as a second language, lots of similar chatter in the background) which was offering a $100 gift card. No identification as to who they were or where they got my number, only that it was a result of going to one of their websites (which I really doubt.) I didn't get any more specifics, mainly about what kind of hoops I would have to jump through or what kind of information I would have to give to get it, because about then the phone line started getting a ringing tone and I had to hang up. And I'm certainly not calling them back again.
I'm thinking they're doing it this way to stay out of trouble by calling people at random because they can claim the people called them.
My caller ID says NOMANCHESTER IN. There is no answer when I pick up the phone. After having this happen twice, I do not answer it anymore. They do not leave a message either.
