The fact is that I have answered and they still remain vague even after Identifying myself. Even after identifying myself as the person they were attempting to contact they refused to fully disclose who they were representing. When I requested that they send me complete documentation on a supposed debt I have yet to see it. It has been 90 days.
Bottom feeders They can call all they want each new number they use I block.
I just got the same exact voicemail as Tammey from Mr. Thompson. How do I get off these call lists????? They're driving me nuts! I do NOT owe anything to any creditors!!!!!
To "collectors friend," if they can not identify the company they are with, the issue they are calling about and only want a social security number, birthday and updated address for my husband... I call it a SCAM. NO ONE asks for that over the phone. Especially someone who can NOT identify who they are, who they work for and the behalf of whom they are collecting. How do I know that much? Because I called one of them back and got verbally abused and yelled at about how we were going to get sued and they needed this information. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they just yelled at me about how "I owed money and was trying to get out of paying it." We check our credit every month, we are not in collections with anyone. So again. SCAM!
Judy - just got the message again. I just keep deleting the voice mails. Voice mail is the only weapon. Hopefully they will eventually give up when they never get a response.
Message: "Mr. Thompson, there's an issue my office and I think you should be made aware of. Please return my call. I can be reached at 262-223-3613. Thank you"
We have had hundreds of these vague calls. They do not ever, repeat, "ever" say what their business is other than some vague message regarding calling them back to take care of some outstanding important type issue that is undisclosed. I never answer a call or conduct any form of business on the phone from anywhere outside my immediate areas.
I got the exact same message today from a Mr Thompson. Must be a scam because they don't ask for anyone in particular and don't give any information on what it's about. I will not call them back. I have had several vague calls like this the last couple of weeks from various area codes,702, 615, 505 & they are from all over the country. I'm going to look into calling one of the state agencies to see if anything can be done about these calls.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! THERE IS A VERY HIGH AMOUNT OF CALLERS TRYING TO SAY PEOPLE OWE DEBTS.....I CONTACTED LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THEY TOLD ME THIS IS GOING ON ALL OVER RIGHT NOW........WHEN THEY CALL TELL THEM YOULL SEE THEM IN COURT... YOU DO NOT OWE ANYTHING....GOODBYE!!!!! THEY WILL STOP CALLING AT LEAST FOR A WHILE
