when I answer they hang up and when you try to call back it rings once then diconnects

Call twice a day nearly every day. Never answered because I don't recognize. From Big Bend, WI. Tried calling back but it rings once then goes dead. ???

Wife answered, they asked if they could give our name to a cancer patient, who would call us for financial assistance.

Got a phone call asking for my husband. When I said he wasn't home, she said she could talk to anyone in my home. Said she wasn't a telemarketer but represented a non-profit cancer funding group collecting donations for cancer patient costs. When I  asked how she got my phone number as it was unlisted , she hung up.

Some bogus "charity" asking for money for cancer patients. Did not identify who the charity was and kept talking over me. The woman was pushy about wanting to send me a pledge card. I finally just hung up.
