My boss received a call from Michael Morgan last year regarding the Masters in Augusta. I put him through because my boss is a golf fanatic! The previous posts show that it is a scam, but Princeton Group put my boss and our comopany's key client up in a five-star hotel with first class service through out the entire Masters. It helped secure anouther contract with our clients! I am sure that it may sound trivial to use things such as "just jumping into a meeting", but that is his job. When ever Michael calls my boss now they talk about other sporting events that the Princeton Group can help coordinate for us. As far as his professionalism, I would not question it. We did not have an issue at the Masters.
I received a call from Michael Morgan with PGI. He asked for my boss (the President and CEO of my company) and said he was about to catch a plane. Same stories I just read on this site with a different phone number (608-824-7200) but same company name. I asked him what this was regarding he said: "New Business." I asked him what does PGI do, he said they are a client retenion firm. He said he misplaced my bosses cell phone number and tried to get it out of me. Yeah Right! Like I would give out that number to anyone. I asked for his information so that I can to pass along to my boss via e-mail and he stated that he had his e-mail and would reach out to him that way then. I asked my boss and he had no idea who he was and never received an e-mail from him.
My Caller ID showed: 262-717-3140 - Princeton Group
Just rec'd call from same person Michael Morgan w/ PGI who claims to know my boss....said he's going to be in meetings all day and would email him. He's a scammer!!! Watch Out!! My boss who is also a CEO/President doesn't know him at all.
Same deal with me. When I told him the owner was not available he used the line "I'm just jumping into a meeting and was hoping to catch him before I went in, do you know when the best time to call would be?" I said no, the owner doesn't keep regular business hours and his response was "Oh shoot, well it's important so I'll call him back when my meeting breaks". I told him he won't catch the owner unless he leaves a message (the owner was standing beside me saying to get rid of the call) and his reply was "I'll just call back this afternoon then". Whatever! I always answer the phone here buddy so you keep calling and I'll keep filtering your damn call!
If you have to lie and sneak your way into getting a chance to speak to the owners of companies, you're obviously not a very reputable company nor a very good businessman.
Same story -- sort of. But this time Mr. Morgan said he wanted to invite my boss to the Masters in Augusta. When I told him he was on the phone he asked if he could wait because he was "just jumping into a meeting, etc." He gave me this number to call him back 262-717-3140. NOT... I hope he calls back because I like to annoy these type of people with all my questions, etc. Eventually, they give up....
