DON'T VERIFY your name, that you have a credit card, your address, nothing.
They call from this and other various phone numbers, including 732-874-4146, and a few others in a 770 area code (always a woman calling). Sometimes they say you've won a sweepstakes "based on your Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover card -- do you have one of those?" Other times, they say someone just made an online purchase with your VISA, etc., and want to ask you about your card and recent purchases.
Ive been getting these phone calls for years from numbers across the country. Apparently I'm on a sucker list. If you're reading this, then you probably are too. Be wary, you're going to receive lots of versions of these. It's creepy that they have your full home address, name, and phone number, but don't let a sweet woman's voice on the other end of the line fool you into thinking she couldn't possibly be one of the thousands of terrible human beings out there your parents warned you about.

DON'T EVER VERIFY THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR CREDIT CARD TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE for that matter. Scam artists buy lists of credit card numbers, and to figure out whether they're legit they call and say they're your newspaper, magazine, and online company, etc, and to verify the last four digits.

I got called by both the 267 257-0080 and 732 874-4146 numbers but didn't answer. I'm glad there are forums like these to spread the word and warn the public about these scams!
