I am getting the same phone call with the same probles saying that I owe them money and they are also Indian,They even call my work and give pesonal information to my employees!! I want to take these people to court SO bad!! I WILL GET YOU TOO!! You theifs!!!!
It's a message from a call center. Your caller ID will read 525-046-74 or 052-504-674. It's a bunch of Indian men harassing you, stating they are calling from the Federal Investigation Beaureau of Finance - claiming they have a legal issue. These people somehow have found your social security # and other information, but they are trying to get a credit card # or a bank account number from you. They say that you have had money wired into your bank account, and you are being sued by the federal government. When you ask them to provide you proof, they can't and will hang up on you.
IF you get a call from them, DO NOT give them any of your information. Contact the credit bureaus and file a fraud alert against your SSN and call the office of Inspector General to report them.
Ok These people called me and my brother. They know my address and know the last 4 digits of my social. I am going to call the cops today. I just dont know how they got all of this info:(
Same thing happened to me. This is the third time these people have tried to scam me. The other number they are using is 267-328-2176. I have filed a complaint against them with the police department. They change their numbers ervy few days so it is difficult to catch them. DO NOT give them any information and tell them to quit calling your busisness. It is against the law!
Wanted to let you know what I found out about how they get your information. According to the State's Attorney's investigator I have been talking to since I got the first of three of these calls( all from different numbers), but all Indian, foreign men, it is very easy for anyone to get your information. Companies routinely sell your information. The other way they get the information is hacking into medical records and doctor's office systems, which is really easy to do (or so the state's attorney's office told me - I wouldn't know how to even begin to do that). I was shocked how easy it is for someone to get your personal information, including your SS #.
