has anyone received calls from sarah green at core resolutions   267 - 338-4118   I got a call back in nov 2016 from an number listed in Kentucky  from sarah green  saying I owed a payday loan from 2013 in the amount of $850 . she wouldn't state the name of the company i owed the debt to,  she just said they work for a "vast number of clients". they knew my bank name   the last 4 of my social and my street address but never mentioned the town I live in.   don't know why I was so stupid , but after being threatened I figured I must have missed something and I set up a payment plan with them  starting with a November and a dec payment.  they would only take a credit card or debit card or prepaid card payment . no checking account numbers would be accepted. they said they would be sending a confirmation email .   so i checked and double checked and saw no email .  tried to call and got a message they were closed for the day .  called the number the next day and got a disconnected message !   so i immediately called and cancelled my debit card .   the payment dates came up and obviously they didn't get paid.   so today i get a call from from the 267 area code number ,  this time listed in Pennsylvania   again a sarah green  left a message this time    by the way it was not the same person id spoken with from the Kentucky number .  her voice and tone was completely different.  threatened me on my cell voice mail and my work voicemail with a court summons and a wage garnishment .  so any way i started looking them up again  .  i found core resolutions associated with a company in Georgia called natrecovery.com   at (770) 325-3870   i called and asked them for info on core resolutions .  he said he couldn't help me but would transfer me to someone who could ..  so a few beeps on the phone .. i think he was just hitting buttons.. and i got disconnected .  tried to call back and   wouldn't you know it ,... no answer,.no voicemeail either ....  i seriously want to get to the bottom of this.  im determined to burn these scammers    any body have any advise on which direction to take ?  im ready for a lawyer !

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

In any case, you should do this:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

If you feel you SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039). Also file a report at the FTC Identity Theft web site as well as learn what else you need to do:

Web site says they are in Georgia:  http://www.natrecovery.com/core/index.php/contact
