The do not call list is a joke. I talked to a state congressman and he said that the funding for the do not call list should be cut because there is no enforcement and is a waste of taxpayer money.
This number with Burke showed up on my Caller ID 4 times in the past week. And left no message. Today I just called them back and a recording came on saying that they are a survey company calling people throughout the United States. I just hung up then.
I am retired, so I have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD....I will talk to these callers, like Burke and Rachel from card services, for as long as I can without giving them any personal information....I answer their general questions, when they question how much I owe on my credit card, I go "searching" for my last bill....give them some made up amount....let them go on and on about lower interest rates...then tell them I pay my bill off at the end of each month so I pay no interest....they get very upset because I "wasted their time" I tell them you have two choices, take me off your list, or the next caller can listen to me for another 10 - 12 minutes...It works for awhile....then they may call back after a month or so...my goal is to break my 14 minute 32 second record....
