Who called from 2679835155

The number 844 856 3958 appeared in an emergency security breach from Charter in a window on my computer. The person said I had a network security breach and did a diagnostic scan. He said someone would call back. The person called back from 267 983 5155 and was supposedly a Microsoft Certified NETWORK Technician and said it would cost $289 to fix. I called Charter and reported it. It is not Charter.

Said there was virus on my laptop and wanted me to fix it with malware that cost $200

same thing happened to me... Seems like a scam because they are asking to pay and sounds foreign

Same as above. Shut them down quickly when the call said PA on my caller is but he said he was in MI.
