A robocall from "Sarah" at Consumer Services claiming to be able to reduce interest rates on our credit card. I've heard from them before, but this is the first call to the cell phone. Provider is Sprint Mobile.
Got the Robo message telling me to hang on for info regarding lowering my interest that would expire today I spoke to a man saying he was from "Cardmember Services" and I asked him which company. I gave him two company names and he hesitated before choosing one. That immediately set off a red flag so I asked if they can send me an email (the company has my email on file and I wasn't going to tell him any of my info) Call disconnected. Go figure.
Got a call from this number saying it was card services and that I qualified for a lower rate. Sounded fishy but I pressed "1 to be connected to a live operator" to see what it was about. The person that answered immediately asked for my credit card number and when I tried to get information about who was calling and told them I would not give them my card number until I knew who they were with and why they were calling me, they hung up on me. Clearly a scam.
