number issued to a carrier called Lucre. prefix puts the caller in kalamazoo michigan. i answered the call and eventually the caller said my first name. i did not answer to my name but asked who was calling and caller hung up. creeps me out,

I received a call by (269)4772159 and a guy tried to tell me he was from Visa Services and that I
win a prize "ya" "right"? like I am going to believe that?
he tried to get information that was no ones business but my own.
I told him I was not interested period!, he still tried to get my information anyways but ,I told him once more that I was not interested and hung up on him,I then reported this call to the Visa Members Service
which they stated back to me what I already knew ,The Visa Members Services Don't make telephone
call to its Members unless a Member calls them first and requests to conduct business with them in that
way.
Watch out for these kinds of Scam Artists ,they seem to be everywhere else days,Online etc.

Basically its just like everyone describes. However, I dont take any chances, I have cancelled my Visa every time they call. I have filed a police report in the county in which I live since thats where the call came in and I filed a police report with the county of origin of the call (Kalamazoo County ) I have also filed a report with the FCC. These are steps all need to follow. Do not push any buttons if you return their call as this will result in your cards being charged.
Three calls today from Vista? Supposedly won a $250 gas card for using my credit cardwith them in the past 18 months. They will send the gas card at no charge but need to pay $2.50 for shipping and handling. Also there will be a trial subscription of a credit card protection plan included but if you don't want it you need to cancel it on your own.
They go under several different names such as "Card Services, Uorderzconfirm and Vista. They also change the phone numbers from different areas. This is a phishing SCAM to get your Credit Card number and billing information.
Over the past six months they have called me over 25 times. I stopped it for awhile by threatning to sue them and I get extremely vulgar. That got me a phone call from a "supervisor" threatning to report me. My answer "Go for it".
