Starts with a recorded message telling you that you have a won a holiday because a family member has entered your details at a holiday kiosk at some ‘posh’ retailer such as ‘Harrods’ ‘Selfridges’ ect...
Then goes on to tell you to press ‘5’ you then get put through to a human who asked you if you qualify by being over 23 years of age and have a valid credit card.
Not sure if you get charged by pressing ‘5’ but will update this message when i find out...
Be aware if you try and explain that you are registered with the TPS or you don’t want them to call, they get quite nasty the “guy” that I was talking to told me “screw you buddy” and put the phone down.
BT told me because the call originated from outside the UK there is nothing that can be done, however they are in talks with both the TPS and ofcom about this to try and find a solution to this problem, and advised that it should be reported any way so that complaints can be counted and a solution found.
