the reason these company's are getting your number. you have filled out some type of information questionnaire for free money, home based business, online education, sweepstakes, survey, etc. it doesn't matter what do not call list you are on if you continually give your information away. i'm sorry for all of you who are being harassed, but be smart. think of it like this, if you meet someone when you are out in public, you don't just give them your number. a large amount of these numbers are people from over seas using voip software. do not trust the press 1 to be removed from our call list crap. that is just to verify that a person is at the number. if you ignore the calls completely, and you don't give your number out, they will stop. same goes for your email, call it junk, never open it, never respond in any way. just ignore and quit giving out your information. i can't say that enough, "DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION".
