I was offered 2600 bonus point dollars for having good credit. I followed the directions to get to an operator. When he came on the line he thanked me for calling Cancun something or rather. it's a travel company. the 269 area code is Michigan.
anyway, he asked if I was interested in redeeming my point dollars and I said I wanted to know which company he was calling from and he said have a nice day and hung up on me. when I tried to call back it's a constant busy signal.

I just switched phone service and got a new number. Unfortunately, the telemarketers got it the next day and I've been inundated with calls. Even putting the number on the DO NOT CALL list is only effective AFTER 31 DAYS! This telemarketer started calling today and I expect many more calls like this in the coming weeks. However, if you already have your number on the DNC list, be sure to file a complaint against this telemarketer at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Until then, go ahead and press whatever number they suggest and when you get a live person on the phone, SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN until THEY hang up. Maybe that will prompt them to remove your number from their calling list :-)
2nd call I've received today, one from this number and one from another. Glad I wasn't home both times. Simply getting very tired of these people & others calling and trying to make a fast buck. They need to 'get a life' and quit wasting people's time.
