Whoever is using this number just called me, using the same message as described above. We are on the no-call list, so if they are caught, they should be fined for calling us.
I don't even own a home and I got this call that said that from their research, they had determined that I was behind on my mortgage. I asked for the name of the company and was told it was: "Home Relief Center". I told them that what they were doing was misleading and illegal. I was then given a recording that requested that to be removed from their calling list, I needed to enter my phone number. I hung up.

I also heard on the news that when we put our numbers on the "DON'T CALL" list - our tel numbers become one more list for the fraud gangs. The worst thing we can do is to post or tell our date of birth and our SIN Number.
