Caller called on my cell phone. Left message that I won a prize. I did call back. He said that I was a winner and I had to go to someplace in two days. Then he was asking questions and got rude on the phone so I hung up. This has to be a scam.
I had a message left on my voice mail from a Patrick Malloy, stating I had won "some kind of a trip or a flat screen TV". I was to call this number 269-926-4878 within 24 hours or press 1 to speak live to a prize coordinator. They supposedly had also sent a follow up email, that I ahve not seen to my knowledge unless it went into my spam folder.
I also got this voice message on my phone with no reply when I returned the call. A google search of "Patrick Malloy prize" resulted in this website http://tackettllc.com/details.aspx (You'll see Malloy's name under the FAQ tab) Seems like the guy is trying to make a living. The website does say that everyone wins a prize. (probably the trip with a zillion black out dates) Don't know what the "appointment" details are that one must attend to claim their prize. I don't usually follow-up with this type of call, except my husband just won an HP laptop computer as 2nd prize for something he entered (he has no idea what) and I was hoping to one-up him with an SUV. But in his case, he got a letter in the mail with an affidavit that he had to get notorized. That seemed much more legit.
