I was simply replying to a picture text message that your cousin was included on. The original picture text message was a mutual friend of ours who sent both your cousin and me a photo of her new baby. I replied to the picture message and complimented the mutual friend on the baby. Unfortunately, sometimes group text messages go to everyone on the original text message list, depending on your phone type and carrier. Your cousin both texted and called me, concerned, and I replied, letting her know what had happened. Some of the other relatives in this family were apparently baffled and spooked by this group text phenomenon and proceeded to call 911. I then had a police officer contact me to question me about this "nice baby" text message. One of the most ridiculous things to happen to me in my life. I understand being concerned that some predator was contacting your cousin about her baby, but I explained we had mutual friends and explained what often happens in group text messages. Warning to all who may read this, be careful when replying to a group text message.
This seems normal and not at all like a telemarketer or solicitation of any kind. Do you know what phones are for and how they work? Please familiarize your self with the telephone and it's intended usage before utilizing such advanced technology. Not doing so may result in the confusion of any and every party involved and in some cases overpopulation and overflow of local and federal correctional facilities.
