get these calls on my trac phone??I know its worthless answered and said was a credit card, no problem mind ya but didnt stay on long enough to find out, scam??
When i asked what credit card company he was talking about, he said my Visa and MC, i again said, WHAT COMPANY? He replied, "go [***] yourself [***]" i just started laughing at him and he hung up abruptly. Burner phone number is not in service now. Reported to the MI police.
Collection Agencies buy up the right to collect a debt from creditors that charged off the account years ago. The debts are well passed the statute of limitations to file suit. If they get you to send them money it will not show up on your credit report. If you don't they sell your information to another agency. Seems enough people send them money to keep them interested.
Call was about my credit card account. Got these before. I pressed one to speak to a human. He started to tell me his pitch but I asked him nicely to take me off his list. He said no, so I picked up my air horn and punched the button. Man that thing is loud. After that, I could hear background noise of other operators but nothing from him. I finally just hung up. Serves him right! I keep the air horn close by and will use it when I get these types of calls from now on.
