This is a scam. The FOP does not solicit donations over the phone. I verified this quite a while ago from our county and state police. They told me to take down the number when they call and give it to them because they are using the good name of the TOP to illicit funds illegally.
This number is coming from a FOP donations. The faternal order of police. Trying to get donations for dead police officers for their families and to honor them for putting their lives on the line for others. Dont they get insurance through the state for their jobs?

This is so a Third party contracted by the FOP. Their main branch is in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. They kept calling for my dad because he would give to them all the time, and they would send him the Star sticker for his car windows. I told them my dad was dead and they gave me the number to downtown and i called them to get my dads name removed from their calling list. My nephew works for the state police, He confirmed everything, and told me the FOP only gets about 15% of what is collected and the third party making the call gets the rest for their collectors and keeping their overhead.
