multiple calls to my cell phone but when I don't answer they hang up and do not leave any message. received two ofthem within a 5 hour period on May 31st, 2007. What is this?
Have seen other Google results saying this is "Wilkerson Associates" marketing firm, also "Thoroughbred Realty". They left no message so they will be ignored.
The caller left no message, but I found that they have a website www.wilkersonresearch.com. Wilkerson & Associates is a marketing research company that conducts telephone interviewing for scientific marketing research, customer satisfaction, political polling and opinion polling.
My phone number is unlisted and I am on my states "Do not call" list, eliminating telemarket calls. The Caller ID normally appears as a mix of capital and lower class letters. This ID was all CAPITALS. The female caller asked to speak with me by my proper name, and not by my middle name that everyone knows me. I asked what she wanted. She asked to verify it was me, and I asked who Wilkerson & [***] was and what did they want. She said "we" are calling to ask you some questions about your Medi-care. Again she asked for me by my proper name to verify it was me. Again, I asked who Wilkerson & [***] was, and why were they asking me about Medi-care. She simply replied, "we are" and did not say anything else. It was quiet for about 15 seconds, and then I hung up. I had the feeling she was recording me, and not telling me so. I suspect it was a scam more than a telemarket call.
