I hope you realize most of the debt consolidation companies are the scams not actual collectors collecting on your debt. It's funny how people want to hollar scam after taking money and never paying it back......it's the other way around folks..
The point being missed here is that millions of Americans are being called and extorted for money on debt they do not owe. Some are foreign 3rd world criminals spoofing (faking) their caller ID. Some are shady domestic companies that work out of post office boxes in Western New York State. Take your pick. As always, request proof of debt by US Mail. Not fax, text, email or phone call. Paper Mail only.
