Number is to Global Acceptance Collections or GACC.  They call from several different listed numbers in order to get you to pay on outdated debt.  Don't be fooled!  Know the Statute of Limitations for your state. (TX is 4 years)  It starts with the very last day that you paid on the debt.  Any debt that exceeds the SOL cannot be collected by taking you to court or any other legal action.  They have to prove the debt is yours and usually cannot. They cannot report the debt to ANY credit bureau.  Tell them that you are recording the conversation and that you would like them to send you proper validation, meaning the legal document that binds you to the debt that bares your signature.  Also, state that they will need to send proof that it is within the SOL for your state.  These creeps buy old debt and are working on scare tactics alone.  Don't let them fool you and don't be afraid to stand up for yourself!  They purchase old debt for pennies on the dollar and rake in the cash!
