This IS in deed a SCAM! I just got off the phone with Target.I gave them all sorts of info about this message to investigate on their side. My next step is to report and then forward this message to my cell phone provider.
Got a text from this number claiming it was from Target and that I was a "winner" of a $1000 gift certificate. When I got on the computer to check out the tiny URL that it gave it took me to a page which LOOKS like it is from Target but is located on a server in the Ukraine. This website Phishes for your personal info and REQUIRES a valid cell phone number and then in turn charges a $19.00 per month "Subscription" fee.
