I got a call from them just now. Came up as "Insperity" on the CallerID and then it was an automated system calling "about my credit card account" and to "press 6 to speak with someone". I hung up. I think it's probably a scam. My credit card is not with a company called "Insperity"
I got a call from them an hour ago, same caller id info, recorded msg about lowering high interest rates on my credit cards. If interested press 9. Though the offer didn't interest me, knowing it was a scam did, so I pressed 9. I played along kept asking to repeat himself hard to understand with his accent, sounded like from Iran, Pakistan or one of those countries. Asked me for credit card # to verify it. I said "No, you have to read it to me so I can verify it". I kept jerking him around. Told him I can't find my glasses so can't see my billing statement. He says go find your glasses I'll wait. I told him I've been looking for my glasses since yesterday! I kept him going for awhile playing him for a fool. Eventually I gave him a mastercard #, I made it up, I'm not the fool! He tells me it's invalid. With that I acted panicy. Told him been having problems with ID theft and I need to look into this right now. Told him I'll call back give me your phone #. Told me his name is Kevin Sespace, ID# CN102. Asked for phone # and that's when he hung up.
I googled "Insperity", got alot of hits but not what I was hoping for. I did a reverse lookup on the phone number & found it's a landline in Kingswood, TX 77325. But down further on same page under "Type:" was "Mobile" and is "Licenced by:" Central Tel. Co. Of Texas. The phone is most likely one that can makes calls from but not to. I may call whitepages.com, my phone co. & police.
