Called my house three times yesterday. I finally answered. The caller claimed he was calling on behalf of Visa/Mastercard with a four question "survey" about lower interest rates. I imagined this would result in some type of marketing offer. I declined the survey and and asked why they were calling me because I am on the Do Not Call Registry. He replied that since it was a "survey" they were able to make the call. I asked to be removed from their call list. The caller was respectful.
I have now gotten 4 calls from this number in the last 2 days. When my father answers the phone they ask for me regarding Visa/MasterCard. By the time I get on the phone they have hung up. It must be some sort of scam, but I don't know for sure. I'm also on the "Do Not Call List" and would love to tell them that if they would stay on the line long enough for me to talk to them.
The info I got off of the White Pages website is that this is Amanda, Carolyn & Elias DeEk, 7511 Moreton Ct, Spring, TX 77379. It's a Southwestern Bell landline.
what they are doing is illegal in all 50 states calling to solicit your credit card or bank information to get you lower rates ONLY your bank branch office is legally allowed to do this REPORT them to your local law enforcement office
