Caller -- male -- asked for me by name, in what sounded like an African accent. Local number; Nigerian scam? (I have quite a few friends from Africa, so the accent is pretty easily identified.)
I have a script I read because of a disability. This allows me to be sure and say things like, "No matter who you are, who you're calling, or why, do not ever call back, and put us on all do not call lists." and, "Be sure this call complies with every applicable state and federal law." It also ensures that I don't loose my cool and say uncool things. Sometimes, my disability functions like Tourette's Syndrome, and I say things I don't even like to hear and certainly never want to say.
He chose to hang up. Therefore, he failed to explain why he called, who he is, or anything else required of telemarketers and bill collectors by Texas and federal laws. Only time will tell, if he violates the do not call request.

I have no idea why they would be calling me, as I have never done business with that company. My friends would have been using a different phone number, so I'm sure it was none of them. Since he asked for me, I know it was not something my wife triggered.
