I have received the call & email for the same number and Adam Smith email as well. Until he asked for my social security number I didn't mind. I could use the work. Could this be legit? Most scams don't last over a year.....hmmmmm
I received a call from this number today - it was an Indian person claiming to be "Adam Smith". I also received a corresponding email stating they had a contract HR Assistant job with UPS. I have received this call and emails from 2 other "staffing companies". All claim to be IT staffing agencies (which typically, does not staff HR positions), all have websites that say absolutely nothing but generic information that can be applied anywhere and ALL of the callers are Indian. The other calls come from New Jersey and Virginia. Gut check: ALL of these make me very uneasy for some reason. I have blocked all the numbers and marked all the emails as spam.

I responded to a ad on indeed.com and sent a resume. I just received a call from someone(I did not catch his name) who needed more information. I was ok with that until he stated he needed my social security number. He stated that the company (UPS) had to have that before I was hired. I told him that under no circumstance who he get my SS #. He is sending me a e-mail with the information and the policy where they require the SS#. I was told that the job paid 38.00 per hour and the job was in the Doraville Ga area. We shall see.
