Just got a call from this number...asked for me by my name....I said I wasn't available and then they hung up...called the number back and its some stupid ring central number...I get at least 3 a week from diff ring central numbers....this should be considered harrassment.
Called the number back - said it was inactive at this time, so I blocked it from calling me again.
For AT&T customers here are instructions on their call block feature:
To Block the last caller on AT&T wireline service (Comcast or other VOIP providers - GOOD LUCK! Contact your provider), but on AT&T follow these instructions:
Listen for dial tone.
Press *60.
Press #.
Wait for confirmation tone.
Press 01#.
Listen for the confirmation announcement and follow the instructions carefully.
When finished, hang up. Calls from the last number that called, will now be blocked from ringing on your phone.
IF you DO NOT want to block the last number called, but you know the number you want to block, after you hear the initial instructions, dial 0 (for Operator) and wait for the instructions. Have the number you want to block ready, as you will need to physically input it during these instructions.
