Scam Caller. Caller has called me numerous times in the past and has occasionally left a message that was difficult to understand...something about changes made to my "merchant account". Today I answered the call, and the caller informed me that there have been changes made to my "merchant account," and that these changes are sensitive and required my immediate attention. When I asked what account she was referring to, the caller avoided answering my question and merely repeated herself about my "merchant account." I asked her again what account was she referring to, and she then very rudely told me to be quiet for a minute so she could talk! Unbelievable. Nasty, obvious scammer phishing for information. Beware.
Same. If there were changes, the credit card processor company we use would call us. I knew right away it was telemarketer since they didn't state who they were right away and instead asked for owner repeatedly. 100% of calls I receive asking for owner is telemarketers. If it's a legitimate call, they would know the owner's name and know to call the owner's direct line. I only receive service calls.
