Received a text message to my company mobile phone: "11/7/09 11:04am Dear Service Credit Union Customer, we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access. Call 281-504-0037 to restore your account." I have no account with any such institution; this is obviously a 'phishing' scam.

Received a text message to my mobile Verizon phone: 11/4/09: 10:57 am: "Dear Service Credit Union Customer, we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access. Call 281-504-0037 to restore your account." I do not have an account nor have I ever with them so I called the number and it ask you to activate your card, if you put a fake card number, it ask you for a experation date and your mailing address, so i faked both of them, and it says thank you and hangs up on you. It is away to steal credit card numbers and have all the information they need to use your card over the internet. Huge big time scam.
We received the same call to my husbands cell phone earlier this morning. Do not know how they got his cell phone number. He does not use this number for anything. Anyway, we do have a credit union account but the number was definitley not for our credit union. I called my credit union and they are researching this for us. Our account was fine. I also called the number and found out they are trying to steal your information. I searced the phone number and it took me to this company: wwwdidforsale.com This company supplies phone numbers for incoming calls. So I figure this is definitely someone using a call center through this company to steal information. Phising scam.
This is second time I got this message... It said:

This also is the second time i have received this message....Dear Central Bank of Kansas City Customer, we regret to inform you that we hat to lock your bank account access. Call 218-804-0037 to restor your account. Nither me or my wife have an account with Central Bank. It has to be some kind of new scam, so beware.....
