Friday, Jan. 11th - 2:00pm - Just received one of these annoying calls on my cell phone. As soon as I heard the recorded message I just hung up. I totally agree that the people representing these bogus companies are just a bunch of SCUMBAGS!!!! P.S. I live in Stamford, Connecticut
Claims to be selling car warranty extensions. I've selected 2 to opt off their list, doesn't work. I selected 1 to speak with a representative to ask a person to be off their list and she hung up on me. Next time, I'm going to select 1, get a rep and screw around with them when they ask the make and model of my car.
We have been getting these calls for weeks now. Sometimes it's from Florida as well. Tonight we had the idea to press 1 and try to talk to the rep and act like we might be interested. Didn't work. As soon as you say ANYTHING contrary to wanting the warranty, they hang up on you!!! We are going to do more investigating and see where it takes us. Probably nowhere, but it's extremely annoying at this point!!!
Like the other commenters I started getting these telephone calls about one week go. No message just call, let it ring just enough times before my answering machine picks up. I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST, like many others any suggestions on how to make these people stop???
Whoever these people are they sound very threatening. They are calling every night and they do not identify what problem they accuse me of not taking care of. I am on the "Do not call list". I have tried to call them back and only get a buzy signal. The are very annoying.
