Earlier today, person named "David" stated calling from "the processing center" (already sounds fishy), and asked about my specific vehicle (probably using public DOT ownership data, trying to sign people up for extra unnecessary warranties). I told him not interested in anything and ended the call.
Got a call, I sent it to voicemail, but they called back immediately so I picked up. It was a guy that asked for me by name, and knew the year and make of my vehicle, and then sais records show you have not purchased the extended warranty... At this point I hung up and blocked the number. The person on the phone was speaking with an American accent, and was somewhat rough reading the script, telling me this was his first day being a telemarketer. So the number may or may not be spoofed, but it seems to be an American call center that placed the call.
