I ALSO RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER. HE TOLD ME HE WAS WITH A LAW FIRM AND THAT MY SSN WHICH ENDS IN 7379 WAS BEIN INVESTIGATED FOR SOME CASH ADVANCE LOAN THAT I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. THE NUMBERS THAT HE CLAIMED WAS MY SSN IS ACTUALLY THE LAST DIGITS OF MY CELL PHONE!! WHICH HE CALLED ME ON!!. HE ASKED IF I HAD MY LAWYER PRESENT. I SAID NO, SO HE PRETENDED TO PUT ME ON HOLD NOT KNOWING THAT I COULD STILL HEAR THE OTHER MAN IN THE BACKGROUND STILL TALKING. HE CAME BACK TO THE PHONE PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE. WHEN I SAID I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND I STARTED TO RAISE MY VOICE. HE SAID WE ARE GOING TO SUPENA YOU !!! THEN HE HUNG THE PHONE UP IN MY FACE!
I got a call from this number also. They left a message. The guy had a heavy accent. Sounded middle eastern. Said he was from a law firm in Houston, TX and said I had to call them back because there is a lawsuit against me and that my social security is in jeopardy. I have no idea what it is about. I have never been to TX. and I do not collect Social security. Plus I have only had this cell number for just over a month. Weird!!!!
I was going to get a payday loan, but cancelled it and never signed anything. The guy said I never paid the loan back, and I never got it in the first place! He got really ugly on the phone and threatened me. Said there was going to be a warrant served on me for the money! Now I guess I have to change my number, and my e-mail!
I have gotten calls from them as well saying that they are calling from a Houston Law Firm. But when asked for a number of other information the person I was speaking to go upset, I also do not thing this is legit. I am research material he said and sent now.
