Said she wanted to talk to me about my computer. I immediately said I wasn't interested & asked to be removed from their call list. This was met with a few seconds of silence then a hang-up.
Saw the number on the caller ID. Quickly googled the number. Another website had responses similar to BethB except many said that the people cursed at them or called them a name. Apparently they are trying to hack into a person's computer by telling you they're from tech support. I didn't answer and no message was left. What a bunch of low life criminals!!!!!
We've received a couple of these calls from different numbers in the last few months. I played a long as "Joseph" told me that my computer was severely infected with malware and that he was from "Windows support" and could help me if I allowed him "remote access" to my computer. After a few minutes of playing along I asked how he knew that my computer was infected and he hung up.
